    Flood! Part 2

Hi, Rory. The basements in this part of Ontario are mostly finished and used as part of the daily living area. Recreation rooms, as we call them. I'm sitting is one of the basement rooms right now as I play on the computer. I'm not sure what I'd do without a basement. I'd have to have a...

    Good Plastic Structure Article

"Is this yet another indication that the magazines will some day become superfluous?" It certainly appears that may be the case in the future, Bill Stone. Subscribing to cyber magazines may be the next step. Partsman/Bill

    Flood! Part 2

Even the smallest bit of water in a basement always seems like a flood. Yours is truly a flood. We have always had a minor leakage problem when the rains and winds team up from certain directions. Just last week, I finally had the problems repaired from the outside. I hope this will be an...

    HOn3

Hi, guys. I haven't been here for a long time due to the fact that I lost all my bookmarks and it's taken me quite a while to find you again. I forgot that there is a - in The-Gauge. The time is fast approaching for me to build my first ever railroad. As I mentioned, many moons ago, it...

    Branch Track/Twin Track

There's a nice article on the older grain elevators in Saskatchewan with lots of pictures in the January issue of Railroad and Railfan. We travel west to Alberta by car in July every year and I must admit I take a lot of side trips just to take pictures of some of these older structures myself...

    WELCOME

I'm sure you'll enjoy building this layout as much as running it, Watash. My plan is to keep it small and manageable. However, my plans have been known to get out-of-hand, once in a while. Ha ha ha.

    WELCOME

.... Thanks for your concern, Watash. I've been working for the same big company in Canada for over thirty years and they have a generous retirement plan, plus when I'm 65, it will only reduce by the amount of the government pension to come. I think I'll be OK. I do have some other...

Announcement: The Gauge welcomes Catt! as our newest mod.

Sounds like a worthy charity to me, Catt. Welcome to your own little corner of The Gauge. I'm primarily interested in HO, but I read them all. Much information applies to all gauges.

    Bachmann HO shay

Would this 3-truck Shay work well on HO small radius track, say 15"? Would 2-truck be better? Should I stick with my plan and go with an 0-4-0T for this small radius? [This message has been edited by Partsman (edited 12-21-2000).]

    WELCOME

Thanks for the welcome, Dave. For many years I have had a wish to own a small pike, but time has not allowed. In a year, I will take an early retirement and more time will then be available. I hope to pick the brains of all the HO modelers present, prior to beginning work on a small mining...
