    My Layout, SWPrr

I'm sure you could get $500+ however, maybe $570 So I think $400-$570.

    Copper Ridge Railway under construction

I gave up on 9 3/4" radius curves. On the mainline I have 19", 16", and 13". I operate 2 (maybe 3 in the next few days) Sd-80's and operate a dash-9. Your supposed to use 12"+ curves on these beautiful engines.

    Inspiration

I have trains in my blood on my dad's side. My great-great grandfather was a switchmen on B&O's mainline in Martinsburg W.VA. way back when, I think about the turn of the century. When he set a switch a train came on the track he was working on, so he moved to the other track. Now this was...

    For WM-N-Fan

Impressive layout! It's in about the same state as mine. I want to see you scratch-build all of Lehigh!

    Anderson Coke Plant

Impressive Very impressive. Was it scratch built? On my layout I use a couple spare buildings to represent one (coal tower, smokestack, and a model power gravel co. . I'm lazy. One day I'll kitbash an HO one.

    Radius

Curves I have a three track line with 19" radius on track 1, 17 on track 2, and 15 on track 3. Track 1 is for coal drags and long mxed frieght powered by Sd-80's and C44-9w's. Track 2 is for both passenger and WM-CS frieght. Track 3 is for short CSX 2-4 car scrap metal trains, and...

    Your Layouts

The ones that are 30$ more have Decoders in them. I noticed the same thing and asked one of the clerks. They don't list it on the case. The last time I went I also got a 10 pack of MT couplers, which I will eventually do for everything.

    Your Layouts

Mainline is a great shop. They have pretty much every N scale freight car, locomotive (even brass), building (even ones that were stopped years back), with good prices for a hobby shop. Good Atlas/Kato locomotives (such as SD-80, WM GP-35, CSX SD-60, and many more) are in the 70-80$ range...

    Your Layouts

I live a few miles north of Hagerstown a few hundred yards off the old WM 2-track line to Lurgan. CSX trains come by every couple hours. One of the two tracks is abandoned, and CSX the other day parked several hundred empty rail box box cars there. Speaking of CSX/B&O/WM layouts, someone I...

    Your Layouts

Cactus, where do you live in Md? There's a dirt road by the Roundhouse Musuem in Hagerstown off Burhams Blvd. that takes you to the Hagerstown Yard, but sometimes there are bulls. You can also see it from behind Lowe's. Do you have the large quarry next to it? It has a siding to a silo-like...

    Your Layouts

What is the setting and style of all of your layouts? We all talk about all of our buildings and stuff, and never really about our layouts. My layout is suppose to take place somewhere South of Pittsburgh, where WM and B&O trains switched with other railroads such as P&LE. The layout also has...

    Future Modeling Project?

I'm modeling a cement plant also. I have a thread going in the N-scale forum. The plant I'm modeling is pretty big, but not nearly as big as what is considered to be (when done) North America's most modern and largest cement plant. That plant is in Union Bridge Md. about 20-25 min. away. It...

    Z-Scale

Actually, I think a small tabletop 2-2 layout would be a nice gift for someone. I'm considering making a few as Christmas or birthday Gifts. The only problem is that there are only a few North American Engines., if that many. I know there F7's, but that's about it.
