MasonJar, Thanks for the input, I'm not sure where to find anyone using DCC so I can try one out.. The local hobby store doesn't have a DCC system setup, so, I can't try it out there. So frustrating trying to make up my mind when I don't know enough about the products. I like both of them...

I guess it comes down to what's the pro's and con's of Digitrax vs MRC.. (Excluding cost from the picture.. I'll add that pro/con after assessing everything else).. I've never ran a DCC train, so, I don't know what to look for.. Thanks, Billy

Any way to get this to work with a DC train so that the LED will stay a consistent brightness no matter what the voltage is on the track?

I just received word from WS confirming that, and they're sending me 2 new sets of inclines to replace the defective ones. Really strange, must of had a machine malfunction and cut them in the wrong place or packaged the wrong set of inclines or something.. anyway, they're making good on it...

Anyone out there using Woodland Sciences foam inclines? I just purchased 4% grade up and down, and laid it out on.. Each package comes with 4 sections.. On one set, Sections 1 & 2 go together nicely and 3 & 4 go together nicely, but I have to leave about a 5 1/4" gap between 2 & 3 to achieve...

What about the standard snap switches table top or under table? Tortoise machines are kinda pricy...

My plan is at the begining of this thread. I don't have pictures of the bench work done to be able to show yet. Some of the switches are close to the edge, most aren't.. Most are on the other side of the bench or in the center.

I am planning on using DCC at some point, my concern was getting the curves just right using flex.. Also, I can't find the specail ENDS for flex.. I've found them for code 83, but I can't find them for code 100..

Don't really have a significant amount of hidden areas on the existing layout I'm looking at building. Anyways, so, what are the pros/cons with using the flex vs. sectional for the main loops?

This is a little outside of the scope on the subject.. But, I was wondering, on my layout, what pros/cons would there be to using flex track for the main loops? My wife is afer me to use existing trax that I had bought before I decided on a layout and I ended up with 10 pices of 36" code 100...

I think I've decided on doing 2 2" foam. Just need to build the frame so that it won't crush the foam that's inside the frame.
