Most likely, Take out all the bulbs and check for a short again..

A light bulb IS is Short! It's basicly a small wire between 2 posts that glows red/yellow when enought power is added. They're put in a vacum to keep the wire from burning in-to.

I got that sheet of foam from Home Depot, around $22.00 or so. I think they're 2" Thick.. I'me using two of them.. Probably overkill, but, I wanted to be able to dig into the top peace.

yea, but how do you "blend" them into roadbed since they're at the same level as the track and the roadbed goes underneath.

Does anyone ever ballast inside tunnels?? I'm still in process of laying down my road bed, but got to thinking about this.. I could see how ballasting inside a tunnel would be a good place to start so you can experiment and get your mixtures right etc.. But, I don't see any other purpose...

You can use a piece of foam on the side of the inclines to extend the width a little, maybe 1/2 or so, which should give you enough clearance on curves for longer cars. My WS book shows this being done for N scale applications and double tracks.

Okay, so, Here is my BIGGEST question at the moment. Plaster cloth or road bed first?? I'll be using WS road bed.. I've seen a thread on here about putting plaster clother under the road bed, or doing road bed first the plaster cloth.. which works best? Which is easist?

Well, Speak of the devil! :) up_santafe is the guy whom I barrowed the layout from! His layout was really nice and appealed to me.. Lots of mainline and switching action simplistic enough (or so I though) for a beginner, but enough of a challenge to be fun. I just hope I can figure everyting out..

That was before I finailaized my tunnel, Same area show in pictures 10, 17, and the bottom picture. After adding the tunnel and riser on that side. It'll be enclosed with stryfoam.

Track is temporarly wired. I still haven't laid down the road bed yet or done the plaster cloth for the tunnels. I'm just not sure weather to do plaster cloth or track bed first.. I've been running the trains and they're doing pretty good. Also, when is the right time to solder the track...
