    Freight management software

Is it possible to have a multiple choice? Say 1 - 20? The reasoning behind this is if you have a factory that produces flat pack cardboard boxes, they may only fill 1 car per day, but if you also have a coal mine, the mine may fill 20 cars twice a day.

    Freight management software

To be honest, it doesn't matter to me what it looks like as long as it's user friendly. I don't know what other people think?

    Freight management software

I think you have it pretty much covered 2-8-2. I think it's really about keeping track of all stock movements so that new trains are only made up from stock that is sitting idle and/or accessible. For me personally, I'm looking at 2 small yards surrounded by various industries and 'off...

    my set having some truble

Hi Jimbob, what I do is tack or glue down the main track leading to the point/switch. Then push the point/switch in to place using fish-plates to connect the two pieces of track. Hold the point/switch in place with drawing pins. Insert a fine pencil or a scribe into the small hole that will take...

    Newbie with curve radius questions

Allot of people will tell you to stay away from 'the white stuff'. I think it is because it is messy, however, I use the white stuff & have done for years. I shape it with a fret saw and P80 wet 'n' dry paper (the paper that's used on automobile bodies) and then cover it with Mod-rock (Plaster...

    Junk yard (current)

I used to work in a scrap yard & their are 2 types of crane used. The main cranes have a 4 fingered claw instead of a bucket. You could scratch this out of a piece of brass rod or some wire. The secondary cranes have big electromagnets which you could make out of balsa or plasticard.. Good job...

pros and cons of each dcc manufacture system

Good thread Wickman, I was thinking along the same lines myself. I have always been a hard core DC man, but with all the new technology & a new railroad pending, it seems a shame not to utilize what is out there. I am after the same (units 12->) but without the need for turnout controls, they...
