Spent Sunday at Old Sacramento CA, took a ride on their steam train, it was just a short one but fun. Had lunch at a nice cafe by the Sacramento River. Went to Roseville to the UP yard and watched them make some trains. Nice day for both activites.:smile:

Had a bagel this morning with my coffee. The trees around here look dead after the late frost killed most of the buds. Hope the birds can still hide their nests.

I buy the big bags at Lowes, the birds spread the sunflower seeds around so I have those growing in various places. :rolleyes:

We stayed in a Caboose in Dunsmuir,California at the Railroad Part Resort. They actually had a king size bed, don't know how they got it in there. The dining area was also a train car.excellent food. I bought a nice mug and some train Christmas Cards in their gift shop. :D

Thanks everyone, the trains go east to west mostly, St. Louis to Kansas City. UP and NS freight with Amtrak going both ways. We have a mini yard where the trains go on a siding to let Amtrak go by. Some nights it's so quiet you swear the trains are going by your front door. We love it. :thumb:
