    Fuso 1:430

Looks great. The problem is seeing this and some of the other great ship builds around here are more and more leading me towards building planes and leaving my 1/2 finished Lutjens as is on the shelf...

    can anyone help...wilhelmshaven ships

In high school I built 2/3 of one of the Wilhelmshaven aircraft carriers. I used only the formers in thickness they came printed on. The ship was very sturdy, had a working elevator - and was over a meter long. I'm doing the Lutjens now - it's about 2' long - and same thing, just the stock...

    can anyone help...wilhelmshaven ships

If you contact Wilhelmshaven they will provide English instructions, if they exist. As far as the card - I've build a few Wilhelmshaven models, including a couple ships, and have never had to glue anything to thicker card. Is it thicker than standard paper at least?

    Request for WW1 armour models

I was actually more interested in the sub - I tried a couple other of the models to see if I could get any of them to work. Not a real big deal.

    Request for WW1 armour models

I think I'm missing something. Each of the models on that page has 1 page that doesn't download and gives a '404 file not found error'. Is there a way to get the files besides just clicking on each 'gif' image?

    Lutjens 1:250 Wilhelmshaven

Also I found a useful tool at the local hardware store. I picked up this drill gage to use for holding short tubes while you glue from the inside. Not a new idea as I've seen a number of variants, but none using this relatively inexpensive tool.

Progress Well, a few more pics. Here you can see not only progress on the ship, but I think progress in my techniques (not perfect, but better ;)).

    LCU-1600 Class Plans

http://www.allwoodwings.com/Ships/Military/Amphibious/2,LCU-1600.htm Here is a place selling (expensive) wood models - I would guess they'd have plans around somewhere.

    New Modelik SCUD Review

I am also eagerly awaiting a build thread(s) regarding this model - it looks really cool. Someday down the road when I think I can do a respectable job it will be added to my build list.

I've never built a tank model of any sort in my life, but all these gorgeous kits being posted up sure make me think I'm going to have to change that in the near future. (Well, near modelling future, given real life and time available I have kits filling quite a while in the queue already ;) ).
