Geeez Steve hearing that the layout is coming down really saddens me, I've been really busy the past month and haven't been able to follow your work and really enjoyed the last few post tonite. I wish you great speed with the new layout. Perhaps you can do like a shelf modular layout , not sure...
Nice work , won't be long before summer\fall has passed and I'll also find some precious modeling time. Keep up the great work and keep the pics coming
Nice plan indeed , how many trains di you get running in the xtracad program. I had used xtracad to design my plan and running trains really brought out any faults :thumb:
Sounds like a run of unfortunate luck Steve, family should always come first. There's many things you can do on your layout when you have the time with natural products that don't cost anything.
TY for the encouragement, yep its a 2-6-6-2 I have a tsunami installed the sound is very good. I got the 2-6-6-2 at Trainworld - 718-436-7072 aslo got a couple BLI steamers with sound there.
Nice job on the video Steve. What kind of program did you use to edit it ? I have a video with a train running I attempted with my digi camera and when I get time and clean up the layout a bit more I'm going to do a good one or at least attempt it. Speaking of which errr ah I didn't see a train...
Thanks guys , I use to be able to get big pics , all I'd have to do is click on the image and it would go twice as big and then clicking again would go even bigger , I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. wall1
Here's a bit of whats been going on for past while as you can see most of the tree line has been planted along the ridge of the mountain.I've been trying to work from way back and come forward.
Here's a couple pics where I built the road and added a small scenery divider for Stuffies...
Which ever plan your going with make sure you solder the curved tracks as one long piece then curve the track removeing ties as is needed, you will probably find soldering 3 stetches of flex track at a time works well keeping the moving rail to the inside of the curveannounce1
