Talking about old things... I want to share this picture with you since it comes more or less, following my topic about the Schindler Coaches... The Schindler's were used in Portugal, at first, for the commuter trains between Lisbon and Sintra. In the early 1950's with the coming of the...

Nice picture of the CPA4000... I'm only sorry that inside that train I always get sick... :D :D to see it from the outside is great... I wonder how many of these structures are still up in our country? With the will from REFER to substitute them all by passages under or above tracks they are...

    Cable cars

Now I understand. When you referred as Cable Car, I thought about San Francisco and Lisbon... but now I see... the ones you're looking at, exist in miniature by Busch and Brawa, I guess... Those were used as transport means in early years to carry loads from the mines, essentially to main...

    Cable cars

I have a portuguese cable car, in my layout. One specific part of it is completely devoted to this layout. Since the gauge in Lisbon of the Cable car is 1000 mm, I use N scale track as track work for the layout... I join this picture... the layout is not yet definitive, and the tracks will...

    Peco Or Not ?

I have mostly AC Marklin track, but in my layout, where thers's the DC, I use PECO and Roco Line. PECO turnouts are the best, And I like the line very much also... Here in Lisbon, it's easy to find Peco... but if you go somewhere else in Portugal you'll hardly find some...

    The Portuguese Railroads

That's true about those cars... in Portugal they're never allowed above the 80 Km/h... About the models, I'm trying to find some good model from Lilliput, I guess, that represents this coaches just to transform it into a portuguese one... That's another challenge... just like my Seixal...

    The Portuguese Railroads

As I promised then, I finally found some pictures of our portuguese CP, Schindler coaches... you may find some similarities with the swiss ones... I can't remember when they had first come to service, but, by the painting scheme, I'm tempted to think that they must have got into service by...
