Do you mean this particular version? It's a free download if you are not wanting to wait for pre-printed.

Wings glued on. I used CA to join them to the spar wires and then put some white glue fillets on the joints. This is a very strong structure, and correctly angled if you get the initial wire bends correct.

Completed wings, if you can call them wings. Don't know how this plane stayed in the air! The designer did a nice shading job on the ailerons, the almost look like separate parts!

Continuing on with the wings, here we glue the spar/rib structures to the lower half. Note that the upper wing surface is shorter than the lower, so we have to make sure the root rib is placed such that it gets covered by the upper surface. If you don't do this, the wing won't snug up close...

Michaels craft store. It's floral stem wire. They've got 20ga and 18 ga in packs of 20 18" lengths for less than $2 a pack. The 18ga is very close to 1mm. Rick

Yes it is a nice design. Very sturdy when done. Rick

Use 2 bits of 1mm wire to align things while you glue the bits together.

Rolling the spar on 1mm wire. I never get these as tight as I'd like, but they are tight enough. Good thing they don't have to look good as they'll be hidden! I would strongly recommend wetting the card a little bit with a paint brush before rolling. You could also use a bit lighter...

Wings! Tonight we start the wings. This is a picture of the laminated rib parts and the bits that roll up to form spars. These are marked as S1 and S2 on the parts sheet, but are called out as B1 and B2 on the instructions.

You know I think I was looking at the full size pic before I cut it down. It's a funny thing - you look at the thing with the naked eye and it looks fine, then you take macro mode pics and all the ugly bits jump out! I think the moral of the story is to not take pictures!

And finally (for tonight) the completed fuse. I can see I've got some edge fuzzies to clean up! Next up, wings!

The laminated parts are simple framework for the stabs. This is prior to folding them up.

Horozontal Stab parts. The ones on the right are 1mm laminated parts.

Rudder bits glued on. Not real happy with my seams back here.

Section 7 glued on. The place indicated by the red circle here concerns me a bit. The top of the skin section is just sort of free floating here. I'm assuming the canopy will cover the "hole" here.

Another problem. When dry fitting this section I found that when the bottom seam was lined up, one side's pattern matched up fine, but this side was off by a bit more than 1 mm. I ended up cutting the section back apart at the botton seam and trimming it to work.

I'm back! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving holiday! Continuing on with the fuselage. The fuse section at back of the cockpit has an issue with the free model. It appears that during the rearranging of things from the printed version, the glue strips that go at the back of skin...

I honestly don't see how this thing would obey the laws of aerodynamics with these tiny little wings. Wonder how fast you had to get before it lifted off?
