    Orlik Wright Flyer I, 1:25, #17 4/2005

This is a shot of the laser cut parts kit I got for this, made by Draf Model. The laser cut kit is as expensive as the Flyer kit itself, but I cannot see myself doing this kit without it! There are 76 wing ribs, barely 2mm at the widest point! Plus a lot of other really skinny parts. This...

    Orlik Wright Flyer I, 1:25, #17 4/2005

This page has all the "wood" parts, printed in a wood grain pattern (with spare swatches!) on regular paper. Some of these get laminated to 0.5mm or 1.0mm cardboard.

    Orlik Wright Flyer I, 1:25, #17 4/2005

This page has lots of engine parts, which are printed in a nice metalic silver ink! Cool!

    Orlik Wright Flyer I, 1:25, #17 4/2005

This is a shot of one of the wing part pages, which naturally enough for this subject, covers most of the book! My beef with this is the odd color. The real Flyer's fabric wing covering would be more of a natural undyed fabric sort of color, closer to white. Not sure where they get this...

That's a very nice build Bluenoser! I'm planning to do some ships in the future and this looks like a great free-model way to get my feet wet (heh, heh). Thanks for sharing it! Rick

    SD.Kfz 250/3 Greif GPM 1:16

The most detailed Halinski aircraft (Dauntless) has about 1500 parts. Their ships and armor would have more (some MUCH more). What you have been doing in your threads is way more detailed than most of us has ever seen - I can't wait to see what you do with airplanes! Rick

Fabulous Chris! I've not tried any ships yet (in paper anyway) but your thread has been one that's making me get the itch. It looks great! Rick

John C Butler Class DE Build

Chief, what do you use for a cutting surface when doing these formers? IOW, where does the blade go? Or do you just freehand it in the air? I was considering a Micromark scroll saw, but have been put off by the price relative to how often it'd get used. This might be an...

Here are the screen shots of errors. I get 2 without the drive letter, one with, and then another without. Everything else seems to work fine. Rick

    1/32 Goodyear F2G Super Corsair

Just got the reg code and had a look. VERY nice, can't wait to give it a whirl. The construction drawings are very nicely done Kudos Will! That motor! Lord did this thing really have 28 cylinders? I might have to take Will's tip and do only the first 2 rows. One thing that's kind of...

Thanks for the review Russell! I just clicked in an order for one. The Corsair is one of my favorite planes, and I'm glad to add this one to my long to-do list! Rick
