    Different shades of CP SD40-2's

Thanks David Have decided to remain faithful to the proto and not install ditch lights - still, it seems a shame to not utilise all of the extra functions of the 3rd generation decoders!!!! Am not about to switch eras though....still like the Tuscan colours too much!

    Calgary Supertrains

Mike, Can't take credit for noticing. One of the club members pointed it out while I was discussing the supurb electonics on that layout - signalling, DCC, block detection, animation etc

Mike, Have been swamped over the last few weeks at work. Was in BC for most of last week. Will ring tomorrow and arrange a time. Can I bring my E8s????

    Calgary Supertrains

Look closely at the second photo.....the white van on the left side of the road under the overpass is actually a speed camera car, and has a LED flash every seven seconds at a car which is obscured by the rail bridge.....very cool (not for the driver of the car tho!!!)

I got good deals on the C Liners $100 per consist and about $80 for the Geep. Makes me wonder what the markup is when they normall sell for about $159

    Calgary Supertrain show!

Hi Mike, Went this morning as well. Now have two more C Liner A+B consists and GP35 (all Tuscan of course!) Did you buy anything? We got there at 9.00am. I agree, it filled up pretty fast after that. I still enjoy the Edmonton Clubs layout (some awesome electonics in signalling, grade...

    Kit Painting

Charlie, Hole in one! I've also seen the previous one (I have a small version of it in kit from Faller awaiting construction). I have two of the Walthers Kits but I want to have two separate mines located a short distance from each other (belong to the same company) instead of combining...

    Unlikely consit!

Mike, Ditto re close ups of the F unit. Loved Dave's expose on making and painting it (especially the ice breaker)!

    Different shades of CP SD40-2's

Ok, now I'm confused (which is easily done!) I have the CP Anthology of photographs by Nicholas Morant which shows the early SD40s in Tuscan colours but with no ditch lights, and the later SD40s and 40-2s in more modern Action Red with Ditch lights. Also I've not seen any F units in the...

    Atlas Decoder Equipped locos available??

Jack, Check this link: http://www.pacific-western-rail.com/products/maker/2/Ncategory1019manufacturer-2.html Scroll right down towards the bottom. It would appear that they have been released. I'm sure they can be found cheaper than Pacific - Western - Rail are offering although I've...

    Different shades of CP SD40-2's

Mike, Do you know when CP started using ditch lights on its locos? I'd like to start building up a few SD40s (the originals from 1967 in the Tuscan of course) but also like to have ditch lights operating (have to take advantage of some of the other functions of the DCC decoders!). May have to...
