This is one of the reasons that made me turn into a paper modeler. I still have stocked in my parents' house something like two thousands euros in plastic and resin kits. Now that i'm a little on the edge for living, paper is the only kind of modelling that i can afford without taking food away...

Awesome adorable model!!! My respect and congratulations for translating into paper the essence of the character. You said its 16" tall, so approx. 1:1 model. I would love to have a "real" martian on my desk :grin:

Just to let you know, yaniv, this is the only model ever that i've thrown in the garbage after construction. Fit was poor expecially in the deck particulars and upper structures. I hope this was due to my lack of skills in building ships. I'll stay around to see how yours is goin on. Good luck!

Great animation dimitry, but in my opinion it's missing water sprinkling and spraying while ship sinks. Really noticeable the effect of the moving waves with the ship reflected on the sea surface. Oh.. i was forgetting... welcome to the forum!!! :grin:

hi lizzie, may i suggest to use a glass or plexiglass (acryilic) rod to suspend your model? This would be less obtrusive than the square support. Just my opinion.

lizzie, if your aim is simply to reproduce the reflection of low flying object on a liquid surface and not displaying the underside of your plane, go for the foil. What about using aluminium foil (the one used for food) just wrinkled a little and tinted blue with glass stained colours? In this...

Aaaaarrrggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!! All my time spent converting the JAL 747 model for the SCA.... now i'll have to rescale the space shuttle to 1:144 and build a third one:twisted: Anyone knows if these PM models come in pdf protected files? i shall need to repaint the model to converto to SCA.
