Thanks for the link on Tarawa I am not even sure I can remember how to build her so it will be a long time before it is released if ever. As for scale it's 1/200th which gives a length of 50 inches overall.

Hi Elb yes the catwalk sits on top of a wire frame which is soldered standard 4 rail with the uprights extended and two extra rails added then bent into an "L" shape and the cantilever is glued to the bent over portion. I think there is a photograph earlier in the thread.

Panel pins Might have been me made the remark to Carl(Golden Bear) about using panel pins, nails for fixing hardboard.

Osprey 2 Another rebuild of the Osprey still requires the prototype red markings to make it somewhere near authentic. The twist in the rotor blades will have to wait for a couple of days while the glue joints harden enough.

Engine pod Spent most of today cleaning up the graphics my texturing still comes out like it was done with a charcoal stick.Kindly note the transition from the round nose of the pod to flat halfway down the engine cos it took me ages to do and at the end no one will ever notice it again.

Osprey test landing The Osprey is a sod to get right but you can look at the third attempt. Tried to fit too many formers in too small a space then got lost where they should fit. I kept one aft of the cockpit and threw the rest away and butt jointed it wanted to see what it looked like. Please...

Upgraded CH 53 Engine nacelles are now in the right position, walking strip on the sponson is at the right end and the side pods have been added.
