    It depends on what you want. Rocks, clear bottom, trees, rapids. Give your river a history and the rest will follow.

    One of your better bets is stone work and rip mrap which is commom to New England. Check out the river that runs through Manchester, NH. I think it is the Amoskeg(?).. Lots of stone work, very vertical, and the rip rap "protects" the side from erosion.

    What do you folks reccomend in digital cameras. There must be some favorites out there. After missing a bunch of opportunities in the last few weeks, because we can't find the family camera, last seen in New Hampshire or maybe Tuluum.

    This is getting very cool. The more I read of ohn Allen's work, and his hidden staging, easments, etc. Well I have scrapped one plan and actually am going to start building my hidden trackwork first to get something running and build the yards and terminal on top.

    Is there a roiugh rule of thumb for the amount of distance is needed in HO for a given track to be ablt to rise above and clear another? I am planning a layout with a partially hidden main and I am trying to figure out how much space is needed.

    This is an amazing "hands on" sort of system. I showed it to my wife who thought the concept was brilliant, and the price was right.

    Hey, I have been thinking, I know its dangerous. But using that steel stud work idea from MR with a thin 1/4 wood top and foam over top sounds like a solid and light weight way to go.     Round barn? Round Barns I have seen around fruit orchards. One also fis the home of a murder mystery series: The Cat Who.., I am a font of usless information.

    That Funky Woodwork Its called gingerbread and is linked to the victorian style. It was often seen on balloon type house construction which was big back in the day.
