I've never personally seen them, but you might like to try it
it wasnt a failure though. They learnt valuable lessons from it, and applied that to the far more sucessful GP7, and other GP (and SD units). even today, the SD70ACe and GEVOS still roughly follow that same setup
hey, you sure you dont have any room? How big of a bed do you have? It could go under there. Or, look at N scale. My layout is on 2 doors, and if i need, it can be folded into 2, and, takes up little room
you have to think outside the box
ahhhhhh, lot'a geeps. Actually (aside from a rarely used Tyco) i dont roster any geeps. i'll have to get a GP9. maybe a UP one, or a Great Northern. plus another SD24. thats all thats on my motive power roster for now
hey, if i was dead set on running somthing like a FP45 or a SD45T-2, how hard would it to be to gring some of the fuel tank away (i know what visual implications this will have, but oh well), to allow it the swivel to go around curves?
oh yeah, i model a time when the Dash 2 was brand spanking...
Yeah i know
what i meant was a list for beginners (like me) to refer to. My SD24 will go around the 18" curves, but it wont couple (it pulls them ok tho) this is using Horn Hooks tho
Hi,
i thought we should make a list of locos that will handle 18 inch curves
lets start with my
ATLAS SD24
now, if you know it will handle the 18" curves, tell us
maybe an admin might like to sticky it, so everyone can find it
Alex
ok, i'll have a look at the MRC sound decoders
thanks for your advice. i'm leaning towards
Some form of sound decoder in my SD24
Some form of DCC (with sound maybe) in my SW1500
And, just for the sake of it, i'll try and DCC my Tycos (its not totallu undoable you know, i think i can wire it...
