Its FRIDAY 4-08-05, weekend modeling plans!

I'm really not sure what I might do. Finished the LO decaling during the week, thought I was going to have to work tonite and I have two yards to mow tomorrow, so I didn't plan anything special, except running trains. I don't have to work tonite so I will dig something up to do.- - We will...

    newbie with a loudness question

The Walthers Trainline engines usually have a sheet inside that shows where to oil, but I never oil gears, I always use grease, Labelle #106, it keeps them quieter, I put light oil on anything that might cause friction, motor bearings, wheel bearings, worm gear bearings, truck gears bearings...

    newbie with a loudness question

It sounds like it just needs lubed, Walthers engines are generally pretty quiet. Have you been running it alot? Gears need greased and bearings oiled!

How do you pronounce Spuyten Duyvil?!?

Having lived in NY, I heard it interpreted both ways 'in spite of the devil' & ' spitting devil'. I ran many a train by that location and I can tell you it lives up to it's name, when the tides change you can watch it go from calm to a torrential nightmare with swift currents, eddys and waves...

need help with bachmann plus gp35

As long as it's plastic compatible you can use any grease you want, I prefer Labelle #106 for gears and a light oil for bearings, make sure the worm bearings are oiled too. I don't have the GP35 but have other B-mann's and oil & grease quiet them down alot with some break in. I also oil [...

    Old FA shells

David, Unless you already have the parts to power them, I wouldn't bother unless you really want to, Trainworld I think still has the P2K FA1 and FA2 A/B sets on sale for $49.99, both powered, much better shell. You''ll spend more on each one if you don't have the parts already. I'm the one who...
