look for stained glass supply stores. assembliers use homosote to pin the glasses pieces together before soldering. david

dash10, i can pull an eleven car train with my cheap arnold sw1500 cow up a 3% grade. do not yet own enough rolling stock to make it spin. my kato e8/9 makes the same pull at slooooooow speed. crank it up and it's like there is no incline. respectfully david

in n scale .010 styrene under every 15th tie in the easements, .020 in the curve. that is 1:160. works good looks good. just scale it up. david

right now the only rolling stock on my layout are micro trains. i do own quite a few atlas cars since atlas offers more variety than MTL. the atlas cars all hve been converted to MTL trucks/couplers. imo the micro cars look better. run better and are more "hefty". just need more slsf, southern...

FD, i am building my 1st layout now. before i started "for real" i got a piece of 3/4 mdf (plywood would work) about 3'x4' and glued a piece of 1-1/2" pink foam to it. since i decide to try flex track i got out the soldering iron and practiced soldering joiners. and turnouts. then i glued down...
