    E&N Day 2003

I hope all goes according to plan. Too bad the E&N refuses to haul over the hump into Port Alberni. We could have had some E&N equipment on display.

What if CP, instead of abandoning the last of the KVR in 1990, spun it off as a regional line?? Would there be locomotives in the KVR yard in Penticton wearing this paint?? http://community.webshots.com/photo/83583717/83583840vhjwZP

What's the deal with CP 7009?

Radiator fans. Note of interest, the 7009 is a H-16-66, CP didn't have any on its roster, all CP's Trainmasters were H-24-66's, numbered in the 8900 series. CP had H-16-44's in the 8500, 8600, and 8700 series, most of which were assigned to the Kettle Valley and Kootenay Divisions.

Taken from the Bay street(Pt. Ellice) Bridge. This photo gies a good overview of the Pt. Ellice yards. Shot in 1986 about 4 years before the rails were pulled up. Photo from Gordon Hulford collection.

    Tyup, BC(Photo)

Here's a shot of the old CNR ROW near Tyup, BC. This photo was taken in 1986, the line was abandoned in 1988 and removed later that year. During the days of steam, Tyup was an important refueling point. Tyup was abandoned when diesels took over in 1958 and by 1986 this is how it looked. All the...

    Rainy Winter Day In Nanaimo

6 units in Wellcox, plus I'm guessing at least 2 road units in Vic West and at least 1 SW8. Sure beats the 2 operational GP38's that they have now.
