I am confused, what does a wash rack, and all of those pictures have to do with accessories? Anywho, I have been wondering the same thing Hook. I want to have street lights, interior lights, the whole works, but I don't know how to power them. I deffinitely have plenty of cheap beginner set...

    Changing to LED's in Locomotives?

kf4jqd, that is a neat light you got there, what did you use for the lamp shade? I am trying to find something that is cheap and easy to use for a lamp shade. A washer, or button, just something that looks good and doesn't cost much. Freelancer

any idea what this boiler is?

It looks kind of like the motive power that was featured in the HOn2 1/2 layout in the August 04 Model Railroader. Freelancer

    Passenger Car Wash Rack

Labor costs for LPB's are pretty darn cheap, just have them hand wash your fleet. :D I found this link, I think that the two links to Ceccato has the best images. Basically to me, it looks like it is just a giant car wash...

    N Scale DPM Modular system

I haven't built anything from the modular systems yet, but I have been pondering it. After adding up the price of the individual wall sections, in the end I think that it is about the same price as an actual kit. An advantage with the kit is that you can get some great details to go with it, but...

    Gauge Layout Party No. IV

I'm ready now! I have joined a club and I am currently working on a module. I need to have it done before November, so the sooner we start the better. (Even though whether we start or not I will still work on it.) I would also like to finish my turntable, detail a couple loco's and start on some...

new to the forum and need alot of help

I am no expert at scenery, in fact I have just starting to experiment with scenery on this small little "diarama," if you want to call it that. I was taught that the best thing to resemble dirt is....well... dirt of course! It looks great and it is cheap, ok it is free, and you can't beat free...

    powerlock track

Just solder the connection to the outside of the rail. If you do it on the inside, then it will derail the train. Freelancer

The Third gauge Layout Party!!! :) :) :)

Depends on what size you want. The one I am working on is 14" in diameter, or it's 98' scale feet. Depending on how much money you want to spend, you could virtually get any size you want. The original turntable that I had before this one was 9". It just depends on how big you need it...

The Third gauge Layout Party!!! :) :) :)

Hmmm....so much for that, I don't think that I got anything on my list acomplished. :p I did get some other things done though so I am not at a total loss. At the current moment I am in the process of building my turntable. In the next party I guess I will pick up where I left off. Freelancer

Train show - DC part 4 of???

Hmmm.....did I see a ramp in one of those pictures? That must be for the airborn express. LOL I need to install one of those on my layout, then I won't need to have a lift out section, I can just have my train jump from one end to the other. Great pics David, looks like you had a lot of fun...
