Finnised up the pannel today. It's not real accurate but it gets the point across, with it mounted you can't see most of it any way

Comming together Question....the parachute trays look shallow. In the photos of them in the McDonald Merc manual it shows the trays are at the very bottom of the recovery section, in the frame work that actually extends into the main structure where the hatch attaches. Did I see this wrong?

Made the floor plate for pilots compartment and started the instrument pannel detailling.

Deceided to go with paper...with a little extra.

Nice pics there Paul. I'm getting the itch to build the heat sheild and thruster pack but want to hold off to detail the inside. I already have the aft bulkhead and instument pannel laying around. With the LES on top it's touching the ceiling, without the rod on top it's laying on the shelf next...

Very cool, I've been looking for this mod in mybe a 1/12 or 1/4 detailed scale. Need to figure out a way to make the bubble on top out of claer plastic. I've seen another builder on the forum here that has done some cool stuff with clear plastic from pakaging.

Thanks All Don't let the parts sheets and instructions fool you. I was a very nice build, the instructions are right on and easy. The only tough part was the cooling vents in the grenade launcher section, kinda tedious. If you decide to build, take note when you get to the slide handle that...

Hello All As far as the LES... well it's a done deal. This will be my first piece built completely from scratch, no instruction, no parts, no printouts. A great piece to cut your teeth on, everything else for this mod will be from scratch also.

Yea...where's the photo? I wanna see, Iwanna see.

Houston...we have's a problem. My shelf is too high, it's not going to fit here with the LES mounted.
