haha, good question, the grade is pretty steep, i think its would be someting like 3.5%, kind of steep eh?, but it works good, i have almost finished laying the track, i'll send some more pics in a day or two:thumb:
ok here you go, the viaduct worked great for the top level as you can still see the bottom level where the port will be placed, the mountain with the bottom track also has a tunnel in the back, i'll send some pictures when the actual rocks are put in
here are some pics, i used spring clamps to attach them to a pice of maisonite, i cut them on a table saw then to length with a band saw, to get the angles i used a belt/disc sander. simple process, fun to make and they look good
there is a type of garland, i cant remember the name of it but it looks like a binch of small trees stuck together, if you cut it and put a bit of paint on it they make good trees, the name is chenille, i just remembered, its works great, about a penny a tree
join the club, i am also 15 and starting a HO layout with my dad, he is paying for most of it but i'll probably throw in 500 or so dollars since i have a job and nothing better to spend it on, hang in there, in the long run u will have one heck of a layout....
I was wondering if you can MU two locos together one having a sound decoder and the other just a regular decoder. I thought i read some where that you could not do this. Thanks.
