If I can get the terms right. I'm talking about track "A" crossing over track
"B". Like an X??
Looking at a template from Fast Tracks there are two opposite points
that are isolated from the rest of the rails. As train on track "A" passes
over track "B" I need a way to change polarity...
Need some help here. I am hand laying the track for my narrowgauge layout. At several areas I will have a crossover. I would like to have power
to all points where the rails meet. I think thats the term.
Now the fun part, I want to runs the trains without having to throw a switch every time...
Came across a couple of sites that might be of interest.
I'm still trying to figure out how this one works, much less how to model it.

As far as the trestles go you might want to look here
http://www.blackbearcc.com/
You can print out some of the plans to get an idea of height ect.
If you can use some flex track on the trestles part,
might look better.

There is a trick that I have used for years. After you have the track all laid the way you want it push some pins or thin nails into the foambase. Use the holes in the track. Do not push all the way just a little. Now take the roadbed and split down the middle. Apply some glue to one half, lift...
I got it working. After checking everything with a meter and rechecking
I realized that the engine had no weight. I pushed down with my finger and it ran! This was a new engine, I didn"t think to clean the wheels and contacts. Sometimes its the simple things that drive you nuts.

This might be a simple question. I am wiring a DZ123 to a N Gauge
Bachmann 060. I do not have any lights for it yet. What do I do with the blue wire? I hooked up the Grey and Orange to the motor and the Red and black to the track pick ups. The loco will not respond. There was something in the...
Thanks for the help.
Al at B & F Hobbies suggested to make a new
main frame out of brass. The frame that came with the kit is white metal. After cutting a hole for the gear box there is not a lot of metal left for support. So fo now I am in the process of cutting a new brass base.

I am working on a 20 ton shay with keystone parts.
I need to tap some 0-90 threads if I can see that small.
Any ideas on what to use to keep the tap from clogging up?
If not, any ideas on attachind the tender to the frame so I can remove it later.
Thanks
Dave
Morning
I have finally decided to get my feet off my desk and
start learning how to use this key board.
Came across this in the morning paper in the Arcives Section
"Soaping railroad tracks is a very reprehensible practice"May 26,1877.
Ok what is this?

There are two sites that my Son and I use

We used this circuit for two flashing LEDs
He even used this as an experiment to show how different resistors make the led flash at different rates for the local school...
