    Ongoing investigation

Julia As counsel for the defence I take it you wouldn't settle for enough slack to permit a two foot drop before the noose tightens. Roman Better give up you haven't a hope of obtaining a conviction. Cheers both Maurice

All is explained. I had my suspicions - she's fond of him. Hi Julia.

    Digital Navy Fuso

Barry I have no specific information to go on, but it occurs to me that the single high angle gun would be very handily placed if you felt the urge to lob a starshell into the darkness of the night. :-) It may also have had that as a function. Cheers Maurice

    Digital Navy Fuso

Barry From drawings the originals protrude approximately 4m from the face of the circular shield, 16mm at this scale. And at least you now know they can be seen.:-) Cheers Maurice

Hey shonki - I'd offer to lend you me glasses but I really do need them myself. Nice build Mike H. I found that underneath view particularly informative. Maurice

    Admirable replacement

Impeccable good taste Roman. 8) As escort ships they were the pick of the bunch in form and function but too expensive and complex to be built in greater quantity in wartime. There's a thumbnail profile from incredibly detailed plans at http://www.john-lambert-plans.com/encom/index.htm But...

    Admirable replacement

Couple of points. Apart from the fact that it is a freebie :D I think the success of the Admirable has largely been that it can be readily identfied for what it is. An almost generic warship with everything a warship should have but not too much of it, and not entirely tied to a specialised...

    Digital Navy's Admirable

Muhammad First pardon me for correcting the url to www.geocities.com/cutelo02/destructor.htm with the main page at www.geocities.com/cutelo02/ I have looked at the model pages but not tried making it. It looks accurate and simple but I don't know how the parts would fit. You can be...

    Digital Navy Fuso

Bill Whatever the material  , I think Roman's idea to first attach it to the inside of the gun house is brilliant. (although Barry may not want to know that at this stage :( ) Would even work for those awful saggy baggies the RN often went in for. Barry Great pics., great build...

    Digital Navy's Admirable

Ted An admirable build. :D ... Roman Have you considered the USS Slater DE 766 ? Literally tons (well over 1200 :D ) of reference material available not too far away, and the DE type served in more than a few navies (including the French :D ). http://www.ussslater.org/...

Comparing two 1/33 kits of the Polikarpov I-16

There's plenty of info around on the I-16 but these are some of the Russian sources to help Lief detail at anything up to 1:1 scale. :D The drawings are very detailed but the photos are scanned from prints so nowhere near the quality of those from the New Zealand site posted by Peter the...

    painting most or all

Have been known to, after all paper/card is perfectly valid just as a basic structural material for models. Straight off the printer has the advantage that it can be fully web portable. Other materials aren't. Never really saw the need to go to the trouble of transferring onto plastic sheet...

    Digital Navy Fuso

Barry They say that great minds think alike, and apparently ours do as well. I've just been playing with making chains in the same way. A great build, thanks. Cheers Maurice

    Upcoming model from GreMir Models

Hi Glen It is indeed a blast screen to protect the crew of "A" mount. You'll see it's missing in that position on Savage but present between her "X" and "Y" mounts. (also present on Saumarez) Excellent build and a very detailed model - keep going. :D Cheers Maurice
