Build: Demon Slayer Aru from M'gakuen

Excellent job on a difficult model, Lex. I see how she's supposed to be posed now. "... I am eager to see more people building these models in the forum ^^" I've started in on my build on the Fatima Ieatta again. I should be posting some photos soon after Christmas. Regards, Don

    Building the GPM ME262 Schwalbe

Great manual clear canopy fabrication method! I've been holding off on building more complicated aircraft (with interiors), because of the need to build a vacuforming machine to make a canopy. Your thread clearly illustrates (pun intended), that a fine canopy can be made with just a wooden...

Build: Demon Slayer Aru from M'gakuen

She's really coming along nicely Lex. This model is on my to do list, but I could never quite figure out from the photos I've seen how to display her. Is she laying on her side, standing on one toe, crawling? The pose is very dynamic, but I can't tell what she's supposed to be doing. I'm very...

    ...Just designed, ahem, another character

That's a really nice figure model Lex! It helps to see it built and in the round. How tall is she? Definitely on my to do list. Have you ever seen the "Battle Royale" movie Gary? I didn't realize the film was based on a book until reading your post. I thought the movie was pretty good for the...

    A new start!!!

I'm always afraid to do fit to page - I have a fear that the parts will be distorted slightly, making for a bad fit. I've gone so far as to obtain 11x14 inch card stock (very pricey) and have cut it down to A4 dimensions. Perhaps I'll try fit to page on this model.

    A new start!!!

The PDO file is slow, but worth the wait. He has certainly filled every bit of the page - pieces go right to the edge. It'll be a challenge to print, especially for those of us in the USA who don't have access to A4 paper.

    A new start!!!

I figured it out. Took a little hunting. Go to the short index on the right side of the screen. Thanks for the heads up on the return of this great designer.

That's an interesting looking model. Great pose. I don't see any way to download it though. Am I missing something?

    ATM-09-ST Scopedog

He's 19.68 inches tall. I tried deselecting the textures in the PDO file per Rick's directions, and it works fine. Now I have to get some colored card stock. Thanks for a great looking model webdude! Regards, Don

    ATM-09-ST Scopedog

Great model! But, two ink cartridges at least for my Lexmark. I wonder if the files can be manipulated to print the part outlines only? That way the modeler could use green and grey card stock and save money and time on ink, edge coloring, etc. The few colored insignia could be painted on with...

    Fatima Ieatta Build

I've made some more progress fellas. The next sheet of parts contains the eight pieces that make up the Fatima's body from stomach to neck. I built from the bottom up, so the first five pieces are simply scored rings that stack one upon the other. Again, the fit of each ring to it's mate was...

    Fatima Ieatta Build

Now that the summer is winding down I was able to sit down and spend some time working on the Fatima Ieatta. I completed her right boot, thighs, hips and pelvis. Her remaining boot went together as easily as the first, but it did develop a bit of a spiral twist up the rear seam. I'm not...

    Telman's Ren Hoek Tutorial

That's a great looking model and those are thoughtful build tips. I use 110 lb for most of my builds. What was it about the final product that you did not like when using the heavier weight?

    Fatima Ieatta Build

Well, my sister-in-law is visiting from California, so I have made no progress. She will be flying back home on Monday evening, so I will be back at the Fatima on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing your completed Noname, Mark. Regards, Don

    Fatima Ieatta Build

Hi Mark, I haven't made any progress on her since my last post. It's been a busy summer so far. She's still there, waiting to be built, and I hope to start working on her again soon. I think seeing this thread come to the top of the heap again will serve as the kick in the butt I needed to...

    POTW July 30-Aug 6, 2007

Excellent choice Russell. The archer is the first figurine model that has been selected for POTW/M since.....ever I think. Congratulations to Mark! Regards, Don

    Build : Pristontale Archer

I think her stance looks spot on. I know from the experience of others that she sometimes leans a bit backwards, but you've got her perfectly upright. Congratulations on a very successful build of a challenging model. I have this kit also. If mine comes out anywhere near as nice as yours I'll b...

    Pepakura viewer printing question

sorry for the delay repsonding, Kjev, and thanks for the further enlightenment you've provided fellas. I've been offline. My home computer suffered some hard drive damage, and I had to run a system restore which pretty much wiped out everything but the basic programs. I'm having problem...

    Figurine build: Kirakishou

I'll be watching closely as well. I was just looking at the files for this model a couple of days ago while organizing my anime folders. Looks like a pretty tough build. I'm sure it'll be a beauty when completed though. Regards, Don
