    I can't belive

I also buy and sell on E-bay. I find that some people just get caught up in the heat of the moment and bid way too much. I personally try to figure out how much I am willing to pay, bid that amount and walk away, if I win fine if I lose fine also. Many items get in bidding wars at the very last...

Hello, and welcome to the Gauge. Problem is that they succeeded in doing what they wanted, shut down the RR-Lines. I was hoping that they would not succeed. I happen to be out of town most of the last week so I wasn't aware of all that happened until yesterday. I was completely suprised at...

    AN 1880's LAYOUT

Bill, It looks like a great plan, I to have my layout at about the same elevation for the same reasons. I have a TV under one section, a computer under another, etc.. The only thing I didn't do was the raised floor, but mine is mainly an around the wall type layout where you don't have to...

    I am going to die...

Mine has bought me 6 engines in the last year including the Atlas 911 engine. She also has supported me in my hobby and gone to every show (but one). She has just set down a few ground rules: 1. clean up my own mess 2. don't overflow the basement (keep all of my RR "stuff" in the basement)...

    I am going to die...

Just make sure it is only slightly bigger, golden rule of marrage "You must always buy a more expensive item each and every time" If you go up too fast it gets way out of hand too early, go up slowly!!! save money in the future!!

Getting ready to put track down

Dave, It depends on a few things. If you have only minor fluctuations in temerature then you want to install them with no gaps. If you do have major fluctuations in temperature then it depends on the temperature when you install your track, if it is at the hot end of the flucuations, you...

    It's Here!!

Michael, It is very easy!! I converted to DCC this spring after 32 years of block wiring. Boy I wished I had done it a very long time ago!! Decoders can be a little tricky but once you do a few they turn out to be not bad.
