    Spray-Foam Questions!

Steve, I have used both, personally I like spray foam for rolling hills, gaps, etc.. It is different to work with, as Marty said, use a knife. Hot tools and rasps do not work well with spray foam, the hot tool will go very slow and wire will get coated, and a rasp tends to break the spray foam...

I use to work in construction, this is a very common practice as Catt said. I have seen it done 100's of times over the years. A good operator can do this in just a few minutes. BTW if you have ever seen dozer operators on steep slopes you will understand how crazy they have to be!!

    Modular question

I would also go that way. All of my structures are removable also. I have gone to mounting my structures on foam board bases which I scenic so that they don't look removable. in most cases you can not tell where the joint for the foam board is. (fences, road edges, etc usually hide it well.

Walt, I don't think your prices were too high, for the detail I thought your prices were very low. I think they are great (as you know I purchased a few;) ) I hope they start selling, I was looking forward to your next offerings.

    styrofoam rockwork

Nice Job!! I have always covered my foam with plaster for rocks, now I will have to try your technic. I have tried the spray foam, worked well for hills and such but I personally found it hard to work with for ditch lines, etc., because it doesn't cut well with a hot knife, either that or I...

My better half loves Trains, she goes to all the shows, helps with the layout and purchases me Loco's for presents.
