Heck, when I retired for the last time... my wife TOLD me to get a hobby. She reminded me of my trains that had been boxed up since 1964. Ever since then, if I mention something about my layout, she just smiles and nods.... but our seven grandkids think the trains are as good as it gets. Bob

Andy and RR Bob hit it right on the head... I bought a MR Book (DCC Made Easy... by L. Strang) that was pretty informative, and it also covered decoder installations), but you can get a lot of info off the net [Tonys Trains, etc.]. Personally, I went with Digitrax and haven't had one...

"It's the only way to fly...." After returning to MRR from a 4 decade absence, I think DCC is the greatest improvement made duning that time. Bob : :thumb:

I've seen E-Z track mated with Atlas (both were code 100...) and as long as you "shim" under the Atlas with cork or foam roadbed, and bring them to the same elevation, you'll be fine. Bob :wave:

Yeah, I have had a problem or two with E-Z Track turnouts, but the only problem with "rail gaps" have been misalignment problems like Xavier referred to. All in all, I have had excellent luck with E-Z track... and I think their cross-overs are fantastic. Bob :thumb:
