Construction of a Buck Rogers Hangar

Each new photo looks better and better. One of my favorite TV shows.

Crichton from Buck Rogers - 1/32 scale!

Nice build. Those are a lot of small parts. I'd need my visor magnifier and small tweezers. I then I probably still couldn't build it. Really good model design.

Construction of a Buck Rogers Hangar

Looking better all the time. I'll be watching closely because I'd love to build one for myself sometime. Would love to get one of the 8 inch Buck Rogers figures but it would take a lot of space to make a star fighter and hanger big enough for that.

    Fireball XL5

Nice model! Remember watching it as a kid. I found episodes on YouTube and re-watched several. Some of the Gerry Anderson series are available to watch for free on the new Yahoo View. Most if not all of the series that were on the free HULU before they ended it. I watched 4 episodes of Captain...

    S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier

Wow! Thanks for this model. This thing is absolutely gorgeous! As a big comic book and Marvel Movie fan I have to build one of these. I'm currently working on a 1960s tribute to Jim Steranko's Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. action figure play-set. Already downloaded and I can't wait to get...

Multi-Purpose Street Scene Action Figure Display

Since I mentioned Ghost Rider the new version will be on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this fall. He drives a black 68 Dodge Charger in flat black with a big blower engine. The engine and wheels flame like the motorcycle does. I saw a Fast and Furious paper model online but could never find it...

Multi-Purpose Street Scene Action Figure Display

Thanks Zathros! I'm working on a Ghost Rider Alley too. I like the dead end alley idea. 1950s Superman display. I found a resin cast head of George Reeves for a 6 inch action figure. Maybe a city photo backdrop at the end of an alley for a night scene to park the Batmobile or Green Hornet's...

16 and a half years, just got laid off from work

Hate to hear that Ron. I ran into a similar situation. Wish you luck finding something. I was 58 when I got laid off and ended up doing what freelance work (commercial artist, graphic designer) I could find until I reached 62. Companies don't appreciate their workers who have worked hard for...

Multi-Purpose Street Scene Action Figure Display

I was on a roll designing billboards about a month ago and made close to 20 different ones including several Daily Planet and Daily Bugle versions. I'm setting up some newspaper front pages now. I've got a mail drop box paper model. I created a garbage can paper model but it was too clean. I...

Multi-Purpose Street Scene Action Figure Display

Sorry Gandolf50, you did say phone booth, not photo booth. I've been working in the the 90 plus degree weather too much painting a deck. I was thinking matte board and recycled blister pack plastic for the phone booth. The sign shop gives me these large blister packs that their poster printer...

Multi-Purpose Street Scene Action Figure Display

Subnuke: I've got friends that run a local sign shop and give me free magnetic scraps. It works great for the back wall and billboards. You have to check the pieces to make sure the poles match just like a regular magnet. Gandolf50: I have a plastic cabinet in my art studio that I do my...

Multi-Purpose Street Scene Action Figure Display

I started designing action figure displays over 10 years ago. I had a friend that draws comic books ask me to contact a toy company that he was dealing with. They wanted three small displays for the New York Toy Show. After finishing them they didn't want to pay me for them but me furnish them...

    2015 Batmobile by wongday

Nice Camaro Zathros. I'm amazed how you design in 3D. I am just too hands on. Even my toy displays are old school. Started designing a flight rig for action figures and I'm on the drawing lap board with a rule and pencil.

    I have cancer.

So sorry to hear that. I had a stage two skin cancer a couple of years ago and I know its a scare to be diagnosed and have to face surgery. Will keep you and Zathros both in my prayers for speedy recoveries.
