I tend to have the same problem. I model an ore hauling railroad and need a good size for a unit ore/taconite train. This is a good question though. My answer is that its ultamately a decision you need to make judged on what you think looks best. If you have long straightaways, you might need...

I just bought a MRC express DCC system to replace my Bachman EZ DCC set. I have a reverse loop already wired with the Bachman module. Will this work on the MRC system since the only conections with the module are directly to the track?

Tonight I stopped at the LHS and bought a MRC express system (Sorry iis612), but it was marked down. I also bought a bag of trees, and a Walthers classic kit, WC 100 ton hopper. Pics will come soon! But that was a fun trip!

WOW! You seem to have a new project every couple of months, and they all seem to fly by! Im sure you said it somewhere, but where are those risers leading to? I love the SF hoppers!
