    Track Testing

    I've found that I run into most problems at the club using my C44-9 Athearn Locos when going around tight curves they grind a lot and sometimes jump off the tracks.

    surprise noise problem - need help

    I would say redoing it with flex track would be a wise choice. The snap track is just too many joints to mess with. Just remember to solder the pieces of flex together before you lay the curve if you need more than one piece otherwise you will get a kink in the rails.

    scratchbuilding 84 lumber

    It seems to me just about 84 Lumber has some sort of siding to get lumber via rail. I'm thinking that they prefer rail to truck.
