    For Herc Driver

HAHAHAHA!!! That's a good one - thanks. I've flown fast (over Mach 1) and slow (in the Herc) and found that you see and get to enjoy a lot more of the world when it slowly goes by your window. Of course...I also fly the Citation X now - and when you really need to get across the country -...

That's a great looking fence Dave! Great work - really nice.

    Hi again all!

I agree - GO BIG! There's always some trade-offs with every layout...but you could plan the entire layout in smaller modules and build one at a time if you like and add them into the final "master plan" as you have the time/money/requirement.

    Athearn 4-8-8-4

WOW what an amazing engine! I'm guessing it can only handle the larger radius curves? As much as I'd like one - I don't think my 9.75" radius track could handle it.

    I almost fainted!

(To SgtCarl's wife - with much respect) Well I'll be...another air-evac person! I loved the jet - and really liked the mission too. Boy, can't even remember how many nights I overnighted at Keesler. What good seafood! I flew the C-9 stateside only...had to wait to fly the C-5 before seeing the...

    Intermmountain SD-45-2

I've got one of IM's tunnel motors and compared to a Kato unit of the same size, well, IM looks better to me but the Kato runs more smoothly. Of course, this is just my opinion...and I'd buy another IM in a heart beat and as a matter of fact - I've got another one on order.

    I almost fainted!

Actually...all those trains listed are really styles of shoes. I know it sounds crazy, but really they're all designer shoes. I was almost fooled by the descriptions...but then I realized they're really shoes. Gondolas? Geeps? Hoppers? Sure those sound like train cars, but they're all...

    I almost fainted!

Flying the mighty Herc out of Charlotte, NC for the NCANG. Flew C-5B's and C-9's too on active duty. Still proud to serve, and smart enough to know that TSgts and above really run the USAF...not us zipper-suited flight gods.

Nope...don't believe it. Would like to believe it...but nope...can't believe it. (Just kidding of course...good for you for having such a supportive wife!)

    Scratch build chain link fence

Good idea Wayne. I've tried to play with screen door mesh, but it's just too big for Nscale purposes. It does look pretty good when cut into little single thread sections used for electrical wiring or as wiring/piping from air conditioning units on roofs.

    TexNRails Experiences?

I've been to their "store" twice. They have quite a large selection of stock on hand, that seemed to me, very well organized. (I bought one item online, and one item in person, if memory serves me correctly.) But I will say this...the gentleman I spoke with (and I believe the owner of...

    Scratch build chain link fence

WOW! VERY nice result. I'd love to get a fence that looks that good and was that cheap to make in Nscale.

    Mixing Unitrack with....???

I found the LL conversion piece in the Walthers Catalog, pg 110, item number 433-7807. It is listed as a Power Link Short Adapeter Track, so I can't say it exactly hooks with Bachmann (since I've not seen the product in Nscale). But at my LHS, they used to have the same product in HO scale and...

Nice work. The road edge outlines add a lot to the whole scene.

    Kato UniTrack Experiences

Imperfections that large give my better cars/engines fits...whereas the really cheap engines and cars power over any track problems with gusto. (If I want to figure out if I have a track problem in a particular area, I take off all the cheap Bachmann or Concor cars and run a MicroTrain car...

    Trains/area help

Here's one right off the top of my head...I like the easy operation and setup of these designs. Look at all the scales - then see which design has some interesting points you'd like to incorporate. Mike's Small Trackplans Page Plus, do a google search on layouts and you'll find more.
