    Beginner DCC questions

You can use any decoder that you would like. The decoders are compatible with all systems, thanks to the NMRA. Just two wires to hook up is all that you need- You need to have buss feeder wires to differant sections on larger layouts. No need to worry about running multiple locos. Just match the...

    Greetings

You might want to look at NCE's power cab. Hook up two track wires, plug unit in and you up and running. I think you should look at all the systems that you can. Some just might not be the thing or size that you would like. DCC is a good thing.:thumb:

    how big is a garage?

It will depend on the builder of the house, on how big a two car garage is. I would guess it will be about 20'X20'. Don't forget- you only get 1/2.sign1 It could be larger of smaller. The builder might be building for small cars, them the size will shrink. NOT GOOD.

    Marklin tender

New to Z scale::mrgreen: Need to get the tender apart to install a decoder. Don't see any screws or snaps that hold the body to the floor. See two pins that are part of the body that go through the floor. The rear pin also holds the coupler on. It looks like the pins have been hot welded to hold...
