    Right idea, wrong wording.

csnxengineer: I think many of us can relate to your frustration regarding health insurance issues. Many other people in different industries are feeling the crunch put on them from their employers to "cough up" more money, if you will, toward health benefits. It's a rather thorny subject...

Take a Train To work Day

Well, Vic - look at it this way, if you are retired or laid off from work- you can be working at enjoying retirement or working at finding another job or working at starting a home based business and if you have a model RR set up, you already have your trains where you work! See the logic!

How many are in Model RR Clubs?

It seems like people have had mostly satisfactory experiences. I still like the round robin type of non club-club. I also bristle under structure and rules. Would never have made a good military type. Guess I got my fill of structure and rules going to Catholic schools, and yes - I'm a...

    Isn't it funny.

Re: Re: Gee - you guys make me feel so It's funny the things you learn as you get older. Glen and I have both had the experience of suffering through horrible first marriages. It has been those combined experiences that have taught us both the things that are really important in a...

    Stone Wall from Plaster

Well, the stuff you use looks great. I, too, enjoy a visual interest in scenery. Well done. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.

    Isn't it funny.

Gee - you guys make me feel so ashamed for being a member of the opposite sex:rolleyes: I know that your wives think of things for you to do over the week-end. While I don't believe that someone should selfishly indulge in a hobby to the point of ignoring their family, there's really...

I like the scenery work and overpass. Is that floral moss that you used on your scenery?

    Cleaning Wheels

While I personally have never cleaned wheels on locomotives, I've watched Glen do it enough times on his N scale and Z scale locos and the ones he repairs for others. He takes a chunk of blue styrofoam and scoops out enough so that the loco can sit upside down in it. This holds the loco steady...

How many are in Model RR Clubs?

Russ Basements are rare here in Texas also. Most people do the same as what you and others are doing or don't have a layout at all and join clubs so they can get close to it.
