ok... I added 1x6" planks for a cleaner look than the 1x4 would have given. I also prewired the underside. I've got to come up with a design for the control board and somehow fit the tech4 dual cab controller on it. Ideas/links?
Using the projector made drawing the trackk SO EASY! It took maybe three minutes at most. Beat the heck out of what I thought I was going to be doing, measuring and protractoring...
Jasbourre - excellent point and I WAS worried about it, I am going to frame the foam in with 1x4 planks...
So today I built the board and glued two layers of 1/2" foam to it. Then I traced my layout onto the board using my laptop and a projector that I built. It was projected to (almost) exact scale, which took some tweaking :D
Thanks, I made some changes to stretch out the grading and removed switches from the back to avoid problems. no construction has been done yet so I will grade the blue down while the yellow goes up. I ordered some 4% grade foam from WS last night.
Time to start cutting wood.
