I like the idea of the large and small dropships from the movie starship troopers, but even better designs were the dropships from the CG kiddies series version of Starship troopers. imo those ones looked way better, even though the series was .... not way better. There are other paper models...

I used the normal 110 lb card stock I usually use, but I would recommend something a little thinner now that I've done it. That glossy paper Jan used sure looks good, doesn't it!?

OK, that may have been one of the most challenging small projects I've attempted to date. Don't get me wrong: I loved it! It was a fun hour or so. At 89% printer output size the completed 16 part mini-Cheyenne came in at 6 Cm total length. Here are a few shots of my build. Keep working...

Thanks Graham and dhanners for the comments. Yes, I see all the flaws, and this model isn't what I'd hoped it would be. But in the end its all good, and I learned a ton doing it, and yes, even had fun. It is a unique subject, and maybe I did bite off abit more than I could chew with this one...

It's all just too cool. The discussion on EEVs, the escape scenarios, the MFs escape systems, and the test pages you've shown. I think I may implode. These filmmakers and special effects shops really need to consult us first BEFORE they go making sci fi movies, now, don't they.
