emt49 Just leave them. You can cap off the ends if you want, but not necessary. Dan

    Motor Isolation

If your motor has two (2) wire leads it should be fine, but if it has only one (1) wire going to it (as in Athearn BB) you aren't. If there is only the one wire then you will have to isolate the motor frame from the chassis. Dan

poll - modeling interests - locale

Kevin, I don't think your premise that most narrow gaugers model Colorado RR's is wrong. Just by looking at what shows up in the major modeling mag's i.e. MR, RMC, SLNGG, RMJ and MRRing, you see almost exclusively Colorado RR's. If you look at what is commerically available you will again...

    SD60 vs SD50

To my understanding the only external difference between the SD50 and SD60 are the number of doors beneath the radiator grills. They use the same chassis and trucks. Dan

Need ID, GP 38 or GP 40 BAchmann Diesel?

Seeing that it has 3 fans in the radiator section, then it is definitly not a GP38 (which has only 2 fans). To me it looks like a GP40. Dan

    Low nose Geeps

Greg, The only low nose GP7/9 that I know of is the Walthers. Nice runner, but body is TOO WIDE. I would suggest going with the Atlas or P2K GP's and doing a nose job on them. Dan

Ralph, Ask the saleperson at your LHS if he has an open copy, that you could look at first before buying. I'll bet that he does and would gladly let you see it. Dan
