    Sn3 conversoins

Sn3 has evolved into a hobby of buying P-B-L brass and cars and discussing building colorado narrow gauge with it. I don't think anyone does conversions anymore. Here is the best S scale website: S SCALE MODEL RAILROADING Harold

Beat the high cost of On30

But I am amazed that parts from all four got me where I wanted to be. As Hannibal of the "A Team" said, "It's great when a plan all comes toghther."

Beat the high cost of On30

I wanted to model the 1870's in On30. MMI is bringing out a 1870's 4-4-0, but $400 dollars, HOLY MOLY!!!!!. The Bachmann Mogul looks silly with a balloon stack when you see it in person, it is an 1880's state of the art loco, not 1870's. Going back to my original roots and my rubber gauging...

Erratic operation of a ready to run MRC in Roundhouse Engine

It is not the amperage. You are experiencing a voltage drop in the section of track. I can duplicate that condition on my staging oval. If I disconnect the oval and only use jumper wires, duplicating a bad connection, the Roundhouse 4-4-0 will perform like you discribe. If my Digitrax command...

Erratic operation of a ready to run MRC in Roundhouse Engine

It will not run on the "n" mode on Digitrax. It will display that charactricstic of choppy action. It needs at least the 14 volts. A power loss due to bad wiring will also cause the condition. I have one 4-4-0 that will run on the "n" setting and one that won't. That is why I don't believe...

Who built the "Gum Stump & Snowshoe" layout ?

Everyone omits the final statement the Mr. Yungurth stated in a later issue of MR about the layout. It wasn't as much fun as he thought until he added a continuous connections to both ends. Harold

Erratic operation of a ready to run MRC in Roundhouse Engine

If it runs fine everywhere else but certain sections, it is the track. If it was the locomotive it would act the same everywhere. It might not be getting a correct DCC signal through the rails. I had that problem with mine on a temporary segement until I ran feeder wires to that section. I have...
