You are doing a great job with your refit. Heck, your second effort has passed my first effort. I just can't find enough time to work on the layout.

I checked cheesecloth because it is the closest to "Used Dryer Sheets". I could have checked foam as well.
I roughly build up the size shape with foam and then dip the "used dryer sheets" is a 50/50water and white glue mixture (add a couple of drops of dish liquid to break water tension)...
If you take a look at the Jigs on this page, you will find one that should fit your idea.

Bill, I have 4 of those little Bachmann 4-4-0 locos.
Three are good little workers, they pull 4 cars up the 2% grades on my layout. Of course, that is prototypical, those little fellows usually pulled only 2-4 cars.
Well, the footprint of the HO kit is:
Main Building: 11-1/2 x 21 x 9-1/4"
Kraft Mill: 12 x 8 x 17"
Using my computer model calc... that would make it Proto:
Main Building: 83.47' x 152.4' x 67.14'
Kraft Mill: 87' x 58' x 123.4'

I have to agree with Rob. Our club is there displaying the Muskoka Model Railway Club's N Scale layout, complete with some of Matthyro's cerealboard creations.
Today they had 1000 attendees, not counting the vendors and showing club members.
