Need HO scale chain link fence............

There is this stuff people have been using for gift ribbons and wedding decorations. It's not been around too long. I super-glued the material to a fence I made out of little brass posts I got from the "beading" section at Jo Ann Fabrics and some piano wire. This meshlike "ribbon", I'll call it...

    New DCC????

For some reason I DON'T like Digitrax... maybe it's the small wheel. I just upgraded from the Bachmann EZ Command System to the NCE Power Pro. Sorry to throw something else into the mix, but I REALLY like it. There is one thing you'll miss about the Bachmann, I don't think any of the...

A valuble link of CV tables

Hi All, I got my new NCE system and was compelled to do a little web reading. I found this site. http://jmri.sourceforge.net/xml/XSLT/pages/decoderIndex.html If it is accurate, I would think it might be very helpful. It seems to contain discriptions of all the mobile and stationary decoder...

    My latest bash (4 pics)

Wayne, Maybe your camera DOES have the capability. Mine's a Canon A540 and has a manual mode. I use the manual mode often for low light scenes. This means I can still approach the depth of field needed and get some rich colors and glowing interior lights. The shudder is typically open for 5...

    My latest bash (4 pics)

No, it sits on the layout... in fact, the picture with the lights on are as it sits by the tracks. Truck, I think those lumber stacks are from Atlas. Somebody was selling them at the GV train Show in little zip lock bags for .50 a set. I cleaner her out of them.

    My latest bash (4 pics)

Just sharing... It's a Tyco kit I picked up at a trade show for 5 bucks. Very fun to build, because the instructions were missing! I felt it needed to be higher so I added a foundation. CHEERS!

    Advice NEEDED on upcoming show

Well, My intention is not to show a profit, as I would build models anyway for fun. This should be interesting. What do you think of this flyer? I printed up 50.

    Advice NEEDED on upcoming show

Thank you gentlemen! This will be thousands of people, mostly passing by and passing the time. Quite a few, I'm sure, are not "in the choir" I really appreciate the thoughts regarding my goals. I guess I want to introduce myself to the local modeling community in person and possible sell some...

    Advice NEEDED on upcoming show

This coming Sunday I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I have rented table space at the Gratiot Valley Train Show. I would like you all to stop by and see my display which will be titled “Dream Layouts by Engineer Kyle” http://www.gvrr.org/3-07f.htm Here’s the thing; I...

    Making waves on a lake

I poured out a layer of clear acryllic gloss into my lake bed. Weeks later, I poured a second coat over it and the first coat softened, lifted and crackled in a smooth way. I may have lucked out, but the result looks like waves.

    atlas under table switch machine

I'll disagree with richo... I like them, like to install them and have had not trouble with them. I have 20 Atlas UTT and 10 Torts... The Torts are great, no doubt, but the Atlas work fine too.

    Kadee Magnets

Food for thought, Steel. I have a small hump yard with four sidings. At first I thought I would need four magnets. Thanks to the grade, I get by with one at the throat of the yard and route the appropriate switches before uncoupling. Here is a short vid showing the operation...

    Kadee Magnets

What a good question, I use many "over the tie" Kadee magnetic delay uncoupler ramps on my layout. They fit to perfection, so I don't know if anything you could find at a hardware store would have the same tolerence. I suppose you could mount any kind of magnet under the ties, if it was strong...
