No problem Jacques, i dont mind at all. I've noticed the sound decoders for Atlas. Is it really a snap in or with a little mod? They look very generic unless Atlas uses generic board in all their locos.

I was going through MRC's website and found this: MRC - DC POWER Series - N DROP-IN: KATO SD80, Item: 0001808, TRAIN CONTROLS/DC POWER Very interesting for me but just wondering, can i fit it in my SD90/43MAC? I would be surprised if this sound decoder was designed specifically for SD80. :oops:

I've always wondered how their Dash 8-40C is compared to Atlas Dash 8-40C. Noticed MB Klein has DCC equipped Dash 8-40CW for only USD60.

Too late, but it sure took me atleast 10 minutes figuring out where the bell goes. What i thought would take me 2 hours to do, expanded to 5 hours! I made a couple of mistakes, but lucky there are extras included. Unfortunately mine didn't come with the horns and snow plow. Kato's website...

I got my Athearn Tri-Rail in both HO and N scale a couple of weeks ago. I noticed my HO Scale coaches coupler height is high compared to my other locos and wagons. Also noticed the couplers are made by Bachmann. I thought they come installed with McHenry couplers. How can i fix the coupler...

Interesting, i didnt know glue is not needed, guess there is no harm in trying now to check if it goes in the box or not. You are absolutely right, never seen any engine like this before by any manufacturer. Thanks for the reply and tips, Billw.

Bought a HO Kato SD90/43MAC a couple of weeks ago. It's brand new so the details are not glued it. I was admiring it for a couple of minutes and noticed that if i have installed the details, i wont be able to store in the original box with foam anymore. Is this some kinda design flaw with the...
