    Canyon Mtn. N-gineers Modular Layout

The Canyon Mtn N-gineers just finished their final open house as a club at the Train Barn in Canyon City, Oregon. Sadly, there were not enough individuals to continue the club in such a rural location. Details have yet to be worked out, but I plan to continue with the majority of modules as a...

    Some 2TRAK stuff

I am currently working with some other individuals on a layout that has 24 modules that utilize a 2 track standard with some modules having three tracks that would be compatible with N-trak except for the fact that we have not isolated the mains because we are 100% DCC. Twelve of the modules...

billgraf: Yes, the cars in the hump yard are collected and sent on their way from the opposite end of the collecting tracks. chooch.42: I have been unable to revive the link to the old page, so I'll try to post attachments that show the plan as I once envisioned it. In many cases the...

    Canyon Mtn N-gineers Layout

On my layout friction slows each car's speed until eventually the car stops. Most cars do not roll as far as the end of the track. I don't have retarders (brakes) on my hump yard, so I am not able to control the speed of decent.

    What's Wrong With This Picture????

I don't plan to leave the track that far apart. Actually, it will be a three track module. The third track hasn't been laid yet in the picture that I had available. Here is a picture showing track work leading up to this module. These modules were also previously HO modules.

    What's Wrong With This Picture????

That's the biggie! I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice. There are other things too, but that is the one I was waiting to hear. I am in the process of converting some modules from HO to N and I was hoping that I could get away without having to remove the HO...

    Canyon Mtn N-gineers Layout

Layout Thread Revisited I thought that I would check out this old thread with the thought of updating it a bit, only to find that I could not edit the old posts since the forum has been upgraded. Links in the first post on page one were either dead or out of date. Perhaps by posting revised...

    What's Wrong With This Picture????

Yes, I really want to know if you can spot anything wrong with the modeling in this picture. (Not the picture on the wall in the background.) Confine you comments to the module and the models themselves. There should be plenty of things to find wrong...so let the "fun" begin. This is a test...

    Under the tree layout help!!!

Here is a small N-scale layout that I put together using a scrap of chipboard that had foam already glued to it (I think it has to do with roofing although I don't know what the product is called.) The foam is fairly soft and carves easily, but it won't hold up will to rough handling. I...
