Thanks guys that's really nice of you. I'm done with murals for the foreseeable future :). I fancy doing some 3D again, vaguely remember planning a Ceratosaurus model before I broke off to paint cartoon pups. Might try to get my head back into that.

OK I'm going to call this done now. I've been picking away at it all week and if I mess with it any more I'll probably ruin it :). I'll add a protective clear-coat, probably over the weekend.

That's the left side of the corner mostly finished, maybe give it a polish pass when the opposite side is done.

Haven't done a lot on this lately but I've managed to get most of the flat colour down and a little shading at the extreme left. Things will slow down even more as I start painting details but there's also lots of other stuff I need to deal with this month. Not making any guarantees but I'm...

Looking good. Sorry to hear about your printing frustrations. Desktop printers can be tricky, I've lost count of the paper and ink I've wasted over the years trying to get certain things to print properly. Nice improvising on the wet palette.

Got a little further with it. Added a little depth to the starburst with a deeper cyan. You can see the brown under-shading pass is being gradually glazed over with the main colours.

It's not a surprise, I gave him a few ideas to pick from. I've noticed even younger kids love to feel involved and follow the progress. He spends half the week at his dad's which gives me time and space to work on it.

Maybe went a bit heavy with the brown outlines, we'll see. I've randomised the angles a bit on the starburst, the digital version was a bit too regular in hindsight. Also managed to get some flat colour on the logo, the A3 print taped to the door my daughter printed for me at work :).

Finally! made a start on the physical mural :). Grid went up quick so got most of the lines down. Brown, magenta and cyan watercolor pencils. Couple of close-ups

Dug my stuff out of the cupboard - Paints, brushes, palettes etc. Hope to start on the actual mural tomorrow.

PAW PATROL ASSEMBLE! This is the final layout I'm going with for the mural. A little more spread out than the original composition. Made a grid version for transferring to the wall, divisions represent 10 cm. The corner falls between rows I and J.

Closer to what I want. This is just a line (crayon brush in Krita) copied and rotated a few times then combined combined with some soft brushing.
