Star Trek USS Ares - Anyone?

They'll probably start popping out some new ships once the videos come out. Looks like some pretty good ships from the clips I've seen. We'll just have to wait and see.

Star Trek USS Ares - Anyone?

I haven't seen the new TV show, but since they decided to make it a pay channel, I figured they were money-grabbing "bags of crap". I guess I"ll just wait around. I thought I heard that someone like maybe Paragon was working on it, but I may have been hallucinating.

Star Trek USS Ares - Anyone?

Is there a model of the USS Ares from the fan film Axanar out there? I heard rumors of someone making a paper model but I can't find it.

The new IXS Enterprise card model

Sure, if I didn't keep snapping the points off my blades. ;)

The new IXS Enterprise card model

Hey, in reference to the "blades" thing...I just bought 100 blades through Amazon for about 11 bucks. And - they were actually X-acto blades! Talk about a deal! I thought they were just cheap knock-offs. I was pleasantly surprised. Usually, 40 blades are about 15-20 bucks. So, there you go. And...

The new IXS Enterprise card model

I've been using almost exclusively 65 lb paper. Gonna have to change up to the 110 lb paper then. And more blades! More blades!!

Mecha Tricks: Compound Curves and Sturdy Feet

Hey I'll give it a try. If it bleeds, I'll print a new page.

Mecha Tricks: Compound Curves and Sturdy Feet

I might try to clean it - that's what I did last time I had problems. But hey, the HP prints way better, so that'll work. And type of ink? Welllllll, the black is pigmented, and the color is dye based. So - can't do the water trick on the curving. *sigh*

Mecha Tricks: Compound Curves and Sturdy Feet

Oh hey Zathros! I was looking at this thread about making smooth curves and saw that you are an Electronic Technician! I just booted my old (purchased in 2012) Kodak printer to the curb. It just wouldn't print the black ink properly. It would print fine on the left, then halfway through it...

    Paper putty

Paper parts filler! What an excellent idea! I was looking for something else in the tutorial section when I saw this, and wow! Gonna use this one big time! Thanks!

The new IXS Enterprise card model

Version 1.3 is completely perfect now! I have finished printing out all the needed pages and will now begin to work on that model. At least what I can until I get my cardboard/chipboard so I can support the difficult bits.

It was my confusion. I should have added to the entire thread, but I accidentally responded to your Narcissus discussion. Silly me.
