the video was kind of cool to watch, you don't see that every day. But having to sit through a commercial for sex in the city just plain sucks. I hate that show, it ruined the whole train watching experience.
:yep:went there today ,took the family ,had a good time. Talked to a few old friends( even a gauge member or two ). :twisted:And picked up some LNE cement hoppers. :thumb:
The HH-1 is almost complete. Decals are on and I am waiting for a missing part from life like. Then time for weathering as soon as I fix my air brush (I dropped it breaking the glass paint cup and nozzle)and add a coal load. I will post pics when It's finished.
88 got it rite :thumb:. just turn it over and run the engine with the file on the flange.(just try to keep the metal chips out of the works.)You can use a wheel with rp25 flanges as a guide, work one wheel at a time until there all the same size. Good luck.
thanks doctor Wayne:wave:. I have a question for you... How did you see the build date???? :eek: My eyes are still pretty good and I have a decent monitor,, I can't read them from the pics I posted. Did you zoom in and how???:?::?::?:
I just finished my first resin kit an Funaro & Camerlengo H30 hopper. This was a real nice kit to build. It could be a little difficult to put together if your used to shake the box kits. If you want to do one and are new to resin like me try a box car first before you tackle a hopper (the end...
I received a proto 2k USRA 2-8-8-2 as a gift:yep:and want to letter it for the Pensey (who got them from the N+W).The model comes with 2 sets of cylinders. A standard and modified low pressure set. I don't know which is correct for the 1940's :?: . I could only find 2 pics of these engines and...
Hay look. It's A top notch place to go on the web.:Patriot1: The people here(the members and staff) are all A+. I for one would not be bothered by a few more adds here to defer the costs of running this site, it would be nice if they were railroad (model or real) related.
does anyone know why Lionel painted there CNJ train master that way???
When the central ordered them from FM they were green with yellow stripes, and were never repainted like that. Still I always thought it was a cool paint job.
That size/style hopper were built starting in the mid 50's. Some survive today as rebuilds. I took a picture in the 90's of a string of 4 or 5 similar ex NYC hoppers that had the drop doors changed for spreading ballast. If I can find it I'll post it.
It's A cool idea for a show but some things could go very wrong, like;;;
You may end up with a volcano on layout.
your new brass steamers may end up color coordinated with the window treatments.
someone may wash off all your weathering...
