    A small logging layout in progress

    I've spend some time on weekend to build buildings and a trestle. The trestle is in place on the upper track near the turnout of the switchback. The shed, watertank and a warehouse are ready for painting next week. Pictures will come later.

    need good ideas for working loading tongs in N scale

    Yesm they have ;) A logging railroad has to transport logs from the landing to the logdump... ;) :D My dream is to represent the real operations in N-scale. I think I will try to cut some out of brass... hooks are also a good idea.

    Good morning over there... Yesterday, I've finished the wooden tunnel frame of my logloader. So I've arrived at the next problem. What to use as loading tongs to load 1/3" logs on flatcars. Any ideas :-)
