Picture of the week... Picture of the YEAR???

There was a pretty big hunk of the year (before Ashrunner assummed command) where there wasn't a pic of the week it was more like pic of the month or quarter. I personally vote for the cool black helicopter!

I have officially gone crazy and it's YOUR FAULT, Gearz!

150-170 pages! I'll certify you right now Ekuth:cry: I have been a silent observer to the Galactica thread but have to say I'm extremely impressed with the textures. It makes your project possible in that it still looks good blown up. Looking forward to more.

    1/32 Goodyear F2G Super Corsair

Just felt the need to do a little more advertising: All that's left is to put the flap hinges on and build the prop.

    1/32 Goodyear F2G Super Corsair

I think I'm turning the same shade as my model Russell. But thank you for the kind words. As with most people who take on a project I have fallen in love with the subject and can't get enough of it. This is in my gallery but I couldn't resist the temptation to post it here as well...

    Opinions about kits

Just thought I'd weigh in on this from the designers POV. To design models a fairly good understanding of the skills and processes to build the model are needed and it is often taken for granted that those building the model might not know them or the desinger has been working on the model so...

    Birdmobile Merlin (Pidgeon Hawk)

Thanks for the info. if you stick around long enough you will probably notice I have a passion for flying things. I am particularly interested in raptors in flying poses. I have however considered doing a magpie. I've always thought they were cool looking birds.

    Birdmobile Merlin (Pidgeon Hawk)

I just did my teeny way too late bit to help Ralph and bought a European Owl and a P-40. Since I'm so close to done with the Corsair I've been contemplating my next project and think maybe a bird would be a good idea. I want a challenge and I don't know the name of this particular bird (I...

    Birdmobile Merlin (Pidgeon Hawk)

Are there other bird models than those offered by Birdmobile? I do know there are some in the PMI catalog but I would be interested in a Peregrine Falcon or any other bird of prey. I seriously considered getting the Osprey but it's a little too pricey right now and storage is a problem.

    Opinions needed

I kinda like the mirror and would echo whoever it was that said that water is not always glasss smooth. I do kinda like your idea of doing something that looks like the reflection though. Do as much as you can to bring the water theme in a little more. P.S. My instructor in Oil painting...

    Birdmobile Merlin (Pidgeon Hawk)

I got this model three years ago and I have received one pm asking where to get it so I'm guessing there might be more interest so I'll write a short review and point you in the right direction. This Link takes you to the pdf catalog pg 62 of the Paper Models international Website (there is a...

    CVN65 Enterprise

That file is on a old computer so I'll have to set it up and transfer the file, but I'll see about doing that soon. If you do make a model out of it could I get a free copy?

Hey Nobi I'm not sure if you'll be interested or not but I was planning on designing a F-18 awhile back and I drew in a three view into acad complete with cross sectional views. If you would like like it I can dig it out. I only mention this here cause I know you mentioned doing a F-18...

    'Using Rhinoceros' Discussion Thread

Thanks for the replies. Tim what you said seems almost counterintuitive to what I was thinking. I'll use the upper surface of the my wing as an example. To get the shape I lofted from an airfoil at either end and then trimmed the excess off and after that I trimmed the flaps and ailerons off...

    'Using Rhinoceros' Discussion Thread

Unrolling surfaces with projected lines I've been working on my Corsair and have finally started to unroll it in preparation for a beta build and I discovered something which might be of interest or might already be known to all the Rhino users and I'm just slow. I was unrolling the...

    Airwolf Beta builders wanted

Thanks Jim and Amazyah. This is the last test build. Fortunately there are only a few minor details that need to be corrected. The model will be released as a free download on perhaps four sites. Nobi has agreed to host it Modelincard has his own webpage and another member has expressed...
