    Reminiscing-First Train Set

Mine was Bachmann's "Deluxe Thomas with Annie and Clarabel" set. I got it for Chrismas 2003. My mom got it after I found the entire set on sale at this one site for $60.00. I was delighted. When the wrapping paper came off I opened the box, laid out the track, and plugged it in. Setting the...

    Power Pack question

This is the one I mean. Today, it comes in black with a red controller as opposed to brown with a beige one.

    Ulrich Sierra Cars

I know. However, sometimes that can cause things to fall apart. :p In this case, scratchbuild=backup plan.

    Sugar Hoppers!

Well, not exactly, Galen. Sodor uses British four-wheel multipurpose wagons for most loads. If the load needs to be protected from the elements, it is either placed in a roofed wagon, or in an open wagon that is then covered with a tarp.

    Ulrich Sierra Cars

How are you at scratchbuilding? I'm building a couple coaches myself, and their interiors will be entirely home-made, including seats, armrests, et cetera.

    Power Pack question

sign1sign1:p:p:lol::lol::-P:-P I don't walk around with it in my pocket all the time. I was just saying that that's how small it is.

    Let's get LOADED!

Excellent stuff, guys. Train Nut, I didn't post a pic. I started this at school, and at home I have to share the only computer I'm allowed to put files on with my brothers.:curse:

    Let's get LOADED!

There's a thread with a similar title on MRF. The point of this thread is to share with everyone here what loads you put in your rolling stock. If you can, include pics. I'll start One open wagon, loaded with unshaped stone. This load is, in fact, real rocks.

    Power Pack question

I use a simple Bachmann pack. It's just barely small enough to fit in my pants pocket.

    Current Layout

Heh. My layout began as a 56" by 38" oval of steel-rail E-Z track. The only service was passenger. This was provided by Thomas the Tank Engine, pulling Annie and Clarabel. I obtained two Troublesome Trucks and James the following year, although I lost one truck soon after. The weird 19" radius...

Tetter's Layout Progress and Other Pics.

This looks beyond cool. I personally prefer Bachmann's E.Z. track, but that's just me :p.

Hello from a Thomas the Tank Engine modeler

Hi. I'm known just about everywhere else under the same username. I model the Thomas characters pretty much exclusively, and I try to run them according to real British prototype practice. All my current engines are the Bachmann ones, but I will be getting the Hornby Thomas for Chrismas...

    New to Railroading

I once bought an Athearn tank car that I had to take in to exchange. Why? Half the tank was missing. :p

The old 32 to 40 foot wood and steel reefers

Well, I think the metal reefers are insulated better, therefore keeping the load cold longer. But their looks would improve dramatically with these paint schemes.

    What is your favorite car?

I'm going with passenger cars(or, as they are known to Brits and Thomas fans, coaches). I'm thrilled every time I see realistically long passenger trains.

    Bachmann HO Metroliner

Well, I model steam, so I can't be much help. As for picking a method, try rolling dice.

    runaway trains in yard

If none of that works, try blocking the turnouts with an engine.;)
