    Trucklover's Shelf Layout Thread

The loco I was referring to is my model of Lady, which I'm building using the ERTL model's body shell. I need a motor that's small enough to fit, but can still let her pull four coaches, so it'll take up all the room. If they start making really teensy decoders then maybe...But let's get back to...

Hello from a Thomas the Tank Engine modeler

I think they're Caledonian Railway clerestory coaches, so try Scottish names. As for pictures, get a load of this: That last one is a van for carrying cans of milk from a station to the dairy.

    Trucklover's Shelf Layout Thread

Sorry. I am ignorant on the subject, mainly because I myself have no plans to go DCC.:p And if I do, I'll use E-Z command because of A. plug-in wiring and B. You can run a DC loco in conjunction, and one of my project locos is so tiny there's barely room for a motor, much less a decoder too.:p...

    Let's get LOADED!

A good use for balsa. You can make a load of smaller, loose-packed planks for a 4-wheel open wagon from used matches with the heads cut off...(but the only one I currently have is reserved for stone traffic right now, so no pic for the time being :p)

I've never tried it. All I know is hearsay, and what it says at the Bachmann site. Of course, not everyone minds stationary controls, you know. And it can become walkaround and more advanced via Dynamis.

Try E-Z Command. I've read that it's quite good.

    Let's get LOADED!

Yes, I do know that. But it's already really long. On some forums it's only just able to fit, and others it doesn't fit at all, so I have to shorten it to ZTS. Anyway, she's a tomboy, and she is finally seen with a sword in Twilight Princess. Besides, I had been a jerk enough to the admin of the...

    Power Pack question

Well, for the original poster, there's always the old standby: An ordinary 100-ohm wire-wound radio rheostat, combined with a master switch and a reversing switch.

Cool. Hey Pooh-bah, I see you use OO scale. Heh. I'm HO right now but I'll be getting an OO model of a certain LBSCR E2 for Chrismas...

    Power Pack question

It works just fine for me. I've been able to make Henry creep along just fine. The only problem's I've had were on dirty track, although it worked better than my train set pack in those situations.

    Reminiscing-First Train Set

I got my brown one from a set my paternal grandmother got years ago to give me when I was older. I collected the remains last summer(my younger cousins accidentally destroyed 5 pieces of the track, and all the rolling stock). The reason I asked if your pack was similar is because I thought your...

    Reminiscing-First Train Set

Cool. Tom, the brown one seems stronger than their current train set one. I use it to drive Henry and Gordon around the tracks.
