    Star Trek Overhauls

A jeweler's file! Brilliant! Where can I get one of those?

The problem with laminating that way is that it results in a sloppy edge. If you laminate first and then cut, you get one coherent edge.

Hah, I'm glad you enjoy it so much. Needless to say, I will be adding another layer on the berth with much more precise cuts, the current sloppyness is result of having to cut through cardstock and the cardboard it is glued to (for support, I make all of my starships this way now).

Progress on the Durandal! I've decided to give her a standard captain's yacht, the Aeroshuttle, and what's more, I've decided to actually build the damn thing at 1/1900 and make it fit in the berth. The result is a 1.5 cm wonder. I think I might need to be checked out by a psychiatrist.

    Star Trek Overhauls

Not yet. I'm probably going to do a global release once I've completed the redesigns. I also need to make sure Jay is ok with it, since the Prometheus model is in many ways still his.

    Star Trek Overhauls

Oh, I forgot to mention; the other overhauls I'm planning are for the Durandal, (my own fan design), Norway and Centaur. I'm also likely to throw together a New Orleans class.

And some comparative shots, first with the other two Starfleet classes introduced in Voyager: With the other overhaul: All three of Starfleet's four-nacelle starships: Three of Starfleet's most potent warships:

I've got a sister thread running on Papermodelers for this project, but figured I might as well share here as well. I'm currently redesigning some of my favorite Starfleet ships, making them more accurate, easier to build, and giving them better textures. I've completed two so far, the...

Very impressive work so far. I'll admit to originally feeling like I'd only build Nostromo herself, but seeing the scale you built her at makes the refinery actually seem like a pretty reasonable build, instead of a super crazy gigantic build. So what are the chances of including a to scale...

    TIE Defender, Phantom, and Super

I recently built Shunichi Makino's TIE Fighter for a friend, and decided I needed my own copy of it as well. I quickly decided to build an Interceptor as well, and at that point, of course, I took it way too far, as always. I'm a big fan of Shunichi's designs, he has a knack for finding...

I finished it up, but I haven't posted it to the download section. Not sure if I'm going to or not. For now, it's available on my website.

There seems to be a lot of recent interest in Babylon 5 among paper modelers right now, I think due in part to Hulu and The WB now airing episodes online. I decided to rewatch a bunch of them, and finally decided to fill a void in the paper model world, by designing the first Whitestar card...

    Babylon 5: Omega & Hyperion

Perfect timing, I was just about to build the Omega myself. I guess I'm not the only one re-watching B5 on WB's website huh? Just got into the Earth war in season 4, so the Omega has become a "must-have" for me now. I'll probably go detailed with it too, I might be persuaded to take pictures...

    Dominion battleship or battlecruiser?

Yeah, I'd attach the thin edges to the top instead of making them thin strips. It also needs some sort of internal support. I added my own for this build, but I'd suggest you toss it back in meta (or whatever you're using), build some boxes that fit snugly inside the main hull, and then...

Just shy of 10 inches long, and a little less than 8 inches wide.

    Dominion battleship or battlecruiser?

So, nobody's posted any images of a model yet, so I figured I'd be the first. Not my best build, but at least it was a learning experience:
